Temecula, Calif.: Nufactor, the specialty pharmacy of FFF Enterprises, Inc., has selected the ten recipients of the 2017 Eric Dostie Memorial College Scholarship. The scholarship was founded in 1994 in remembrance of Eric Dostie, a boy who was tragically murdered on August 27, 1994, at the young age of 5. Eric was a boy with hemophilia, a rare hereditary disorder in which the blood does not clot normally, caused when one or more clotting factors (substances in the blood that help form a clot) are missing.

Eric inspired many lives with his uplifting joy, humor and unending love. His family recalls his aspirations of becoming a scientist and inventing a cure for hemophilia in the form of a "chocolate pill."

The Eric Dostie Scholarship grants $1,000 to each winner to be used for school expenses. Scholarship candidates are required to submit an essay describing how their education will be used to serve humanity and encourage self-improvement and enrichment. Recipients are selected based on scholastic achievement, community service and financial need.

"The annual Eric Dostie Memorial Scholarship has assisted many students in financially reaching their goals of higher education. Congratulations to this year's talented winners, a group of very deserving students," says Patrick M. Schmidt, chief executive officer of FFF Enterprises.

Nufactor is proud to announce the following winners of the 2017 scholarship: Victoria Adkins, Heather Alba, Morgan DiPrima, Olivia Hoff, Angela Kessler, Sheila Menjivar-McGrath, Kaitlin Musick, Jason Rodriguez, BriAnna Sperry and Layne Swanson.

Applications for the 2018 scholarships will open on November 1, 2017. Visit the Nufactor Eric Dostie Memorial College Scholarship website to learn more about the program and to request an application. Or call (800) 323-6832 for additional information.
